Before bed, it’s best to distance yourself from gadgets like television, smartphone use, work, browsing, or anything else that requires brain power. Turn off all gadgets that distract you at least 30 minutes before bed.
5. You are taking medication that has a long-lasting effect.
Sometimes medications contain ingredients that can keep you awake and prevent you from sleeping. Read the label on your medication to ensure it doesn’t have side effects that prevent you from sleeping.
